Did I mention that I have a fantastic new client I’ve been working with for the last few months? Well, Morrison Hair in Laguna Beach (aka paradise) is now open and I can’t wait to share more images with you in the near future. If you are in Orange County I suggest booking an appointment ASAP. In addition to handling all of their writing needs, I am managing their social media and blog and consult on just about anything and everything they want my opinion on.

The best part? I now have a new hair cutter (don’t even get me started on how many I have been through living in L.A. for almost 12 years), James Morrison, who also happens to be one of the best in the business and has a charming Scottish accent. Another huge perk is that I feel like I am working on something that means a lot, not just to the Morrison’s, but to their friends, family and clients.

James’ wife Rachel always dreamed of opening a salon and this incredible Spanish bungalow (with the most beautiful archways, wrought iron work and a cozy fireplace) in North Laguna is the perfect spot. It’s the pure antithesis of most salons out there today and only seeks to make you feel good about yourself. The staff is so friendly and the salon is private, relaxing, chic, but also high tech at the same time. I could go on and on, but I am genuinely excited for the Morrison Family and to be part of this incredible team.

Happy 2012 everyone! It’s a New Year and also the year we are getting married. I just finished putting stamps on our invitations, which will be going out in less than a week. It’s feeling very real now. Hope this year brings wonderful things for all of us.

Two of our closest friends — and two of my favorite people on earth — just got engaged this morning on the beach in San Diego. I am so happy for them and can’t wait to celebrate. Congratulations Rhianna and Andy (also known as our officiant!)
