Non-Profit

In 2005, my father George Namkung founded Kids of Kilimanjaro, a non-profit school lunch program in Tanzania, East Africa, after a life changing trip where he successful climbed to the peak of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Today, with the help of countless generous donors, my mom, sister and I, KOK is now feeding 15,000 children a warm lunch each school day.

We are passionate about this cause and as a family-run operation we are 100% transparent and happy to answer any questions you may have. If you’re interested in getting involved please visit Kids of Kilimanjaro to learn more.

If you’d like to get involved please consider hosting a fundraiser for KOK. It can be a bake sale, car wash, school fundraiser, garage sale, cocktail party — anything you can think of! We can help you design an invitation and provide you with fact sheets and photos. Please contact me if you are interested. Asante sana!
